On September 13, a session of Supervisory council of Alabuga Special Economic Zone chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov was held at Alabuga (Yelabuga region of the republic).
Four investment projects were presented for assessment. AO NPK Khimpromengineering (included into Rosatom State Corporation) presented the production of Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) precursors, Rockwool presented the production of substrates, the Turkish company Hayat Kimya presented the second construction stage of the plant manufacturing sanitary tissue products, and INKO-TEK Agro Alabuga presented the project on producing mineral fertilizers.
Opening the session, Tatarstan President noted achievements in the development of Alabuga. There are 23 enterprises working at Alabuga, and construction works are carried out at 5-6 sites.
The founder of the project on producing Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) precursors is AO NPK Khimpromengineering (included into Rosatom State Corporation). The agreement on the construction of the plant in Tatarstan was signed at St. Petersburg economic forum in June this year by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of Rosatom State Corporation Alexey Likhachev.
OOO Hayat Kimya, an existing resident of Alabuga, is planning to build the second stage of the plant manufacturing sanitary tissue products. The total amount of investments is 3.32 bln roubles. The production is to be launched in the first quarter of 2019.
ROCKWOOL Russia, an existing resident of Alabuga and ROCKWOOL International A/S initiated the production of substrates using Grodan rock wool. It is an import substitution project. So far the products are delivered from Holland. The production is to be launched in the first quarter of 2018.
INKO-TEK Agro Alabuga presented the fourth project, the production of compound mineral fertilizers. The suggested amount of investments is 715 mln roubles, the estimated annual capacity is 120,000 tonnes of products. The production is to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2018.
Tatarstan President and members of Supervisory council approved all four projects and decided to award the status of residents to the companies.
