Being the initiator and investor of a new project, Rockwool-Volga, an existing resident of Alabuga, is planning to invest 500 million roubles into the project.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minnikhanov noted that Rockwool is a strategic partner for Tatarstan. "A landmark event has taken place today. The construction of a new production line in Alabuga has started. This is one more project of Rockwool Company, with which we have been cooperating for five years. The new plant will manufacture a very popular product - rock wool substrate that will meet the needs of our republic and the Russian market as a whole," Tatarstan President said.
Vasilyev said that the implementation of the project should become another success story. "Rockwool rock wool products increase the energy efficiency of our buildings and structures. And Grodan's products will allow our agricultural inrustry to grow foodstuff and save resources," he added.
Then, Minnikhanov and Vasilyev planted a spruce seedling to mark the start of construction of the new Gordan production line.
The construction of the production building will be carried out by Alabuga Development Company, a subsidiary of Alabuga SEZ, established to provide general contracting services to residents of the special economic zone. The Rockwool project will be the first order for the new organization. The building for the new production line will be attached to the existing plant. The construction is scheduled to be completed next summer.
