"We are actively cooperating with China. Our official and business delegations visit China every year. Chinese partners also come to Tatarstan with a return visit. At the same time, we are developing inter-regional contacts with the Chinese provinces," Minnikhanov said.

He said that the trade and economic representation office of Tatarstan is operating in Beijing, and the Consulate General of China was opened in Kazan last year.

Tatarstan President noted that there are cooperation agreements with a number of Chinese companies. Joint activities are carried out in the field of petrochemistry, engineering, automotive industry, computerization, agriculture, construction, health-care and other spheres.

Minnikhanov stressed that Weichai Power Company is one of the leading industrial corporations in China and the world. "Your engines are also used for trucks produced by KAMAZ Automaker. There are prospects for further use of your components at our enterprise, as well as comprehensive development of our cooperation," Tatarstan President added.
