Road organizations of the republic purchased more than 70 units of new snow-cleaning equipment

On November 21, speaking at a briefing at the regional Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Transport and Roads of the republic Lenar Safin reported that 72 units of new snow-cleaning equipment have been purchased this year.

The minister said that three covered warehouses for storage of deicing agents have been built in the republic.

As noted at the meeting, the regions of the republic have received 207 units of new snow-cleaning equipment for maintenance of municipal roads in winter.

Safin added that maintenance of federal and regional roads is carried out under long-term state contracts, with Tatavtodor, Tatneftodor, Alekseevskdorstroy and Kazdorstroy being the main contractors responsible for maintenance of roads in the republic.

Safin continued that 387,000 tonnes of sand and salt mixture and 12,000 tonnes of salt have been prepared for maintenance of federal and regional highways in winter.
