Tatarstan President holds regular board meeting of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding

On November 30, speaking at a regular board meeting of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the Government House of the republic, Deputy Director General of Apollo Group Teaguen Kwon said that the Korean manufacturer of compressors, pumps, turbines, high-tech automated valves plans to localize its assembly plant Apollo-T in Almetyevsk.

The enterprise is located at the production site provided by Tatneft Oil Company, which placed an order with Apollo Group for the production of liquid ring vacuum pumps, heat exchangers, vacuum pumps and high-pressure vessels. According to Director General of the Tatneft Nail Maganov, this is the fourth order they have placed with the Korean corporation.

The policy of the company implies 50 per cent localization of assembly plants, which allows for a reduction in production costs by 25 per cent. The plant can be launched next spring. It will include training, research and development centres.

The Korean company also has plans to start the cultivation of luminous flowers in Sabinskiy municipal region of Tatarstan next year and the construction of a foundry in the republic in 2019.

A memorandum of intent was signed between the Tatneftekhiminvest Holding and the Apollo Group Company during the meeting.

Emerson Corporation (USA), which produces a full range of automation systems, presented its technology for Tatarstan industry. The American company has large-scale production facilities in Chelyabinsk.  It has great experience of cooperation with Tatarstan companies such as Tatneft Oil Company, TAIF Production and Investment Company, TANECO Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex, with educational and scientific organizations.

Emerson is implementing the first in Russia project for online vibration monitoring of hydroelectric units at the Nizhnekamsk Hydroelectric Station. The company plans to extend cooperation with major regional companies.

The Swiss SIKA Chemical Company, specialized in producing materials and development of construction technologies and transport engineering, plans to locate its production facilities in Tatarstan. The foreign company is interested in using Nizhnekamskneftekhim Petrochemical Company and Kazanorgsintez Chemical Company products as raw materials.

The German Smart Silikat Construction Company presented a solution for repair, fire protection and isolation. FLEXUM 15 is elastic mineral sealant, retaining its properties in water. The product contains a hybrid binder and is resistant to acids. It can be used for waterproofing, crack bridging and corrosion protection of chemical and petrochemical industry objects, roads, buildings and bridges, water supply systems, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, President of the Moscow Corporation TechnoNICOL (producer of construction materials) Sergey Kolesnikov said that in the second half of 2018, the company will finish building a plant for production of construction foam in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone. Being the largest consumer of polystyrene in Europe, TechnoNICOL counts on mutually beneficial long-term cooperation with Nizhnekamskneftekhim.

National Computer Corporation (establishing a Сentre for development, implementation and support of Ma-3 product in Innopolis) and CottonWay (outsourcing services for provision and cleaning overalls for regional petrochemical companies) also presented their projects for implementation in Tatarstan.

At the end of the meeting, Rector of Kazan National Research Technological University Sergey Yushko made a report on the International network scientific-practical conference “New standards and technologies of engineering education: opportunities of universities and needs of the petrochemical industry".
