Rustam Nigmatullin: Statistics nowadays is a significant element of public administration system
On January 31, at a joint summing-up meeting of the regional office of the Federal State Statistics Service in Tatarstan and Tatarstan Committee on socio-economic monitoring, Acting Prime Minister of the republic Rustam Nigmatullin, Chairman of Tatarstan Committee on socio-economic monitoring Valeriy Kandilov, Head of the regional office of the Federal State Statistics Service in Tatarstan Natalya Gataullina and other participants discussed the results of work in 2017 and set priorities for 2018.
During the meeting it was noted that efficient use of all information resources gives opportunity to get statistics data on social and economic development of the republic, reflect structural changes in the economy and become information foundation for the management decisions.
An important activity of statistical authority has traditionally been making proposals for the development of foreign trade relations of Tatarstan manufacturers to external markets. Statistical resources make it possible to assess the prospects for trade development of 35 items of goods in Russian regions.
Efficient work is implemented in terms of mainstreaming of private farm holdings, which account for 50 per cent of goods of agro-industrial complex produced in rural areas. A significant part of record base is formed by e- rural household register (that is over one million villagers in 457,000 households).
Nigmatullin emphasized that statistics nowadays is a significant element of public administration system. “Information support of authorities is one of your main tasks. Indeed, we are one of your key customers. But, I think, many major corporations realize the importance of statistical data and rely on your information,” he noted.igmatullin emphasixенной Т e,
According to Acting Prime Minister, the level of implementation of governmental authority, solution of pressing tasks directly depends on timeliness, quality and, the main thing, reliability of the statistics. “Thus, there is your great contribution to the results, achieved by the region,” he said.
He noted that further synergism of statistical authorities with ministries and agencies of the republic is required. In particular, the search new forms of data collection and their interpretation is important. The important thing is that received information resources could be implemented in practice.
