On April 11, at the Pyramida Entertainment Complex in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in an event dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the formation of the preliminary investigation bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Congratulating the employees on the anniversary, Pesoshin noted that powers of investigators, senior executives of investigation bodies have significantly expanded, the quality of employees of the divisions has improved, and many of the most acute problems the investigation bodies of the local Ministry of Internal Affairs are facing have been resolved recently.

The Head of the regional Government stressed that the investigation bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Tatarstan have always been known for its traditions, an unconventional approach to investigating the most complicated and resonant crimes, and the ability to use new forms and methods of work.

For many years the Tatarstan investigation bodies have been achieving sustained good performance, Pesoshin emphasized. Over the past ten years, almost 84,000 criminal cases have been sent to the court. About 100,000 accused have been prosecuted. "Due to the joint well-coordinated work of criminal and police investigators 58.7 per cent of crimes were solved in 2017," he said.

Also, the Prime Minister noted the contribution of old-stagers to the formation of the preliminary investigation bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic.

Then Pesoshin handed in state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished employees of the Ministry.
