On June 13, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin visited the city press center of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The press centre opened in the IT Park High Technology Technopark today and will close on the 16th of July. As many as 80 workplaces in the conference hall and 100 workplaces in the working area were equipped with computers, high-speed cable Internet and Wi-Fi access for journalists.
Pesoshin visited a photo exhibition dedicated to the history of the first FIFA World Cup held in Uruguay in 1930. He also was presented a stand of the Tatar book publishing house, an exhibition of products of the Tatar folk crafts, a catering zone for journalists and an exposition where information on the main tourist centres of the republic is presented.
The Prime Minister was also informed that 60 press conferences on the investment, industrial, tourist and cultural potential of Tatarstan are planned to be held in the press centre, with ministers, people’s deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, members of the regional State Council, scientific and cultural figures, athletes, artists and ambassadors of the 2018 World Cup being the speakers.
