Tatarstan Prime Minister holds a working meeting with representatives of Tatarstan in the regions of Russia and abroad

On September 25, in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin had a meeting with representatives of the republic in Russian regions and abroad.

In his welcoming speech, Pesoshin emphasized that despite increasing the foreign trade turnover of Tatarstan with the regions of Russia and foreign partners, all the representations of the republic still have the potential for development. During the meeting, the parties discussed the organizational issues of the upcoming working visits of Tatarstan President to foreign countries and planned visits of official and business delegations to the republic.

Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov summed up the results of the work of the representative offices for the first half of the current year. To date, Tatarstan has 14 offices in the countries of the far and near abroad and also 8 representative offices in the regions of Russia.

Deputy Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Igor Sapunov noted that Tatarstan trade turnover with the foreign countries and with Russian regions increased by 12.5 per cent during the first half of the current year. Turkey, China, the USA and Kazakhstan remain the main foreign partners of Tatarstan.

The representative of Tatarstan in France Iskandar Yusupov, Tatarstan representative in Uzbekistan Ramil Shakirov and Ambassador of Tatarstan in Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad region Renat Valiullin introduced the current work of the representations and pressing issues.

At the end of the meeting, Pesoshin handed in the Letter of Gratitude of Tatarstan President to the trade and economic representative of the republic to the USA Robert Galiullin.
