Briefing at the Tatarstan Government House tells about implementation of the national project of “Safe and quality roads” in Tatarstan

At a briefing in the Tatarstan Government House held with participation of the Head of the Federal State Enterprise “The Federal Directorate of Auto Roads of the Volga-Vyatka region” Ildar Mingazov, the Director of the State Enterprise Glavtatdortrans Eduard Danilov, the Deputy Head in Improvements of the Kazan Executive Committee Igor Kulyazhev and the Head of the Naberezhnyye Chelny Executive Committee Farid Salaknov, the Minister of Transport and Road Economy of the republic Farit Khanifov informed that 8.2bn rubles, including 2.4bn from the federal and 5.87bn from the regional budgets, will be allocated  on implementation of the national project of “Safe and quality roads” in Tatarstan in 2024.

“This year it is planned to bring into order 97 kilometers of roads and repair 28 bridges, with work having started at all facilities,” the regional Minister said and gave details of work to be done in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnyye Chelny agglomerations and in introduction of smart transport systems.

Farit Khanifov informed that the national project of “Safe and quality roads” has been implemented since 2019 by an errand from Russian President Vladimir Putin and as many as 1 372.5 kilometers of roads and 72 bridges will be brought to order in the republic by 2024.

The regional Minister also informed that 208 regional roads will be repaired in addition to the national project and 1.3bn rubles will be allocated on road work by the programme of “Comprehensive development of rural areas” in the republic this year.
