Ildar Khalikov appointed Prime Minister of Tatarstan

Members of Tatarstan parliament appointed Ildar Khalikov, a former Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny to the post of Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan. Yesterday all committees of State council approved this candidature. Today 89 deputies voted “for” the candidature of Ildar Khalikov, 1 – “against”.

While presenting Ildar Khalikov President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov highly assessed his work on the post of Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny. “Under his leadership one of the most efficient administrative teams has been created in republic, - Rustam Minnikhanov stressed. – Ildar Khalikov is not afraid of experiments and introduces new creative methods of management”.

“I’m sure with your support Ildar Khalikov will successfully use his human and professional qualities at a responsible post”, - Rustam Minnikhanov addressed deputies.

Ildar Khalikov in his turn thanked President of Tatarstan for trust towards him. “I realize that it is important to keep a high tempo of work characterized of Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, - I.Khalikov said. I understand with all responsibility the complicated task assigned to me in case of your positive decision. I will do my best to justify your trust”.

“I suppose not only power authorities but all Tatarstan society assess proposal of candidature of Ildar Khalikov as a successful one”, - Chairman of RT State council Farid Mukhametshin said.

For information: Ildar Shafkatovich Khalikov was born on November, 21, 1967 in Agryz town, TASSR. After finishing school in 1985 I.Sh.Khalikov did military service in Soviet Army. In 1987 he entered V.I.Ulianov-Lenin Kazan State University to speciality “jurisprudence”.

1993-1995 – key specialist, acting head of management for short-term and long-term crediting, deposits and securities, head of administration of joint-stock commercial bank “Chelny-bank”

1995-1996 – deputy head of legal management of JSC “KAMAZ”

1996-2003 – director for finances, deputy director general on economy and finances - director on economy and finances, deputy director general on corporate strategy of JSC “KAMAZ”

2003 - 2005 – head of Administration of Naberezhnye Chelny city

From 01.01.2006 – head of municipal region Naberezhnye Chelny, Mayor of the city

From 2006 – Secretary of political council of Naberezhnye Chelny local branch of All-Russian political party “United Russia”, head of fraction of “United Russia” in city council of municipal region Naberezhnye Chelny, member of Political Council Presidium of Tatarstan regional branch “United Russia”.

We remind that candidature of Prime Minister of Tatarstan and his deputies is suggested by President of Tatarstan. Heads of ministries will be appointed by President edicts by proposals of Prime Minister.
