Rustam Minnikhanov visits Arfa Software Technology Park in Pakistan

On March 18, during his working visit to Punjab province (Pakistan), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP), which is one of the country's largest information technology centre.

The techhology park aims at promoting information and communication technology, attracting direct foreign investment, developing human potential in the IT sphere, increasing export of IT products.

The park houses offices of such companies as The Punjab IT Board, The Information Technology University, Microsoft, Teradata, General Electric, Ublox, RentVM, Ebryx and Inbox. Besides, there are the Plan X technology accelerator and the IT University in the park.

During a brief presentation of the park, Minnikhanov was told that the ASTP interacts closely with the country's government, some companies are specialized in developing public-oriented technologies.

Director of High Technology Park “IT Park” Anton Grachev told about Tatarstan's experience in terms of the development of IT technology.

While looking around the technopark, Minnikhanov was told about the most successful start-up projects, was demonstrated offices of resident companies, and was shown special rooms for holding official events, seminars and conferences.
