Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin meets with President of KITZ Company (Japan) Yasuyuki Hotta

On April 20, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin had a meeting with President of KITZ Company (Japan) Yasuyuki Hotta.

Welcoming the guests, Pesoshin expressed his hope that the current visit will give a new impetus to the successful and long-term cooperation of the republic with the Japanese company.

"We are pleased that our colleagues and partners from Japan visit Tatarstan frequently," he said.

In particular, he reminded that on August 8, 2016 Kazan hosted a business forum "Tatarstan-Japan. Investment future ». Adviser of the Prime Minister of Japan, as well as representatives of such large Japanese companies as "Mitsubishi", "Panasonic", "Fujitsu" took part in it.

On September 19, 2016, the sixth Russian-Japanese Advisory Council on the Modernization of the Russian economy, which was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Russia, was held.

On October 1-2, 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Japan (Kyoto City, forum “Science and Technology of the Future”).

"Our industrial enterprises are actively cooperating with Japanese companies in such areas as machine building, medicine and health care, petrochemistry," Pesoshin went on to say.

Moreover, Tatarstan has a long-standing relationship with Japan in the field of culture, exchange of students and teaching staff in the educational and scientific sphere. In particular, students and teachers of the Kazan Federal University regularly undergo internships in Japanese universities.

During the meeting, Pesoshin briefed about the economy of Tatarstan and its most promising sectors. He also reminded that Tatarstan is one of the most attractive regions of the country in terms of investments.

In his turn, Mr Yasuyuki Hotta said that this was his first visit to Russia and its regions, and he was pleasantly surprised by all that he had seen.

Then, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation.
