Rustam Minnikhanov about his visit to Iran: We managed to cover a huge range of promising areas that are of interest for cooperation

On April 20, in his interview to Iran's mass media agencies, Tatarstan President said that a huge range of promising areas that are of interest for cooperation were covered during his visit to Iran.

He briefed about main results of the working trip of Tatarstan delegation to Razavi Khorasan Province (Iran). "We held a number of constructive meetings with the region's senior officials, outlined steps for further fruitful cooperation. A business forum was held with the participation of business community of Tatarstan and Razavi Khorasan Province. Besides, we visited educational and cultural facilities of Mashhad. I am grateful to the Governor Ali Reza Rashidiyan for organizing the events,” Minnikhanov said.

He noted that representatives of Tatarstan had visited the Imam Reza shrine, the architectural complex: "Razavi Khorasan Province preserves its history, religion, traditions. This inspires respect."

"We are ready to implement joint projects in all areas, including mutual deliveries of engineering products, construction materials, agricultural products, medical equipment and so on. All this has a great potential,” Tatarstan President added.

According to Minnikhanov, all conditions for the active development of cooperation between Russia and Iran at the interregional level have been created. "We solved a lot of tasks during our bilateral meetings. In particular, we discussed the possibility of holding the next meeting of the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in Tatarstan." 

Also today, in the presence of Minnikhanov, the Agreement on Cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce of Razavi Khorasan Province and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan was signed. The document was signed by First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan Arthur Nikolayev and First Deputy Head of the Chamber of Commerce of Razavi Khorasan Province Hossein Mahmoodi Khorasani.
