Rustam Minnikhanov visits Klimov Enterprise in Saint Petersburg

On April 28, during his working trip to Saint Petersburg, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Klimov Enterprise, one of the leading Russian developers of gas turbine engines.

The enterprise is engaged in the development, mass production and service maintenance of engines for most Mil and Kamov helicopters, jet engines for fighter aircraft.

Klimov is a member of the United Engine Corporation, subsidiary of the Oboronprom United Industrial Corporation for engine assets, which is part of the Rostec State Corporation.

Minnikhanov looked around the production facilities of the enterprise, including the assembly shop, where he was told about the products and promising projects of the Klimov Company.

During the tour of production areas, Minnikhanov and Executive Director of Klimov Enterprise Aleksandr Vatagin discussed issues of integration and cooperation, implementation of joint projects. The Klimov also produces engines for the Kazan Helicopter Plant.

Minnikhanov was told about the advantages of the Dual Education project, which is being implemented as part of the system project "Training of Workers Qualified for High-Tech Industries based on Dual Education".

As part of this targeted training, the future employee gains theoretical knowledge in the educational institution, and hands-on knowledge - at the enterprise. This form of training is convenient both for graduates and employers. A student gets a more complete idea of ​​the profession, and the enterprise employs a specialist after graduation with work experience.

At the end of his visit, Minnikhanov visited the museum of aircraft engines.
