Rustam Minnikhanov hands in awards to winners of Regional contest “Philanthropist of the year-2016”

On April 29, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in awards to winners of Regional contest “Philanthropist of the year-2016” at Piramida entertainment complex in Kazan.

State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin and other officials took part in the ceremony.

In his welcoming speech Rustam Minnikhanov highly estimated the work of Tatarstan philanthropists. He noted that socially important projects have always been supported in the republic, in      pre-revolutionary years and Soviet times.

Tatarstan President appreciated the work of Mintimer Shaimiev in the position of Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Revival foundation. He congratulated Shaimiev on awarding the title of the Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation.
