Rustam Minnikhanov visits Linde Engineering in Munich

On May 5, during his visit to Linde Engineering in Munich, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and members of Tatarstan delegation were briefly told about the history of the creation of Linde AG, which is 138 years old, about stages of its development and modern trends in engineering.

Linde AG is a German multinational engineering chemical corporation with branches in many countries. Headquartered in Munich, Bavaria (Germany), the company was founded in 1878 by Carl von Linde. Initially, it specialized in the development and production of refrigeration equipment, technologies of liquefaction of gases, their rectification and separation.

Linde AG is the world's first company that performed the liquefaction of air (1895) and its separation, thereby it laid the foundation of the industry for the production of technical gases.

Currently, the company focuses on engineering, production of gases for industry and medicine.

Minnikhanov was shown hydrogen-powered cars (Toyota, Hyundai, etc.) and was told about advantages of hydrogen technologies.

Linde AG is the world's leading supplier of hydrogen energy technologies, carries out the construction of hydrogen filling stations, and is a well-known manufacturer of handling equipment of Linde and Still brands.

Representatives of the company expressed confidence that hydrogen fuel could compete with gasoline engines, as it is more environmentally friendly.

Then, a presentation of the pilot unit for the production of synthesis gas and hydrogen was made.
