Nikolai Patrushev and Mikhail Babich visit Zelenodolsk Shipyard

On May 17, during their working visit to Tatarstan, Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council Nikolai Patrushev and Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Russian Federation to Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich accompanied by Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin, Secretary of the Security Council of the republic Airat Shafigullin and Director General of Zelenodolsk Shipyard Renat Mistakhov visited  Zelenodolsk Shipyard.

Patrushev and Babich began their inspection of production facilities with a visit to the hull preparation workshop where they got acquainted with the progress of modernization of the facilities as part of the Federal Target Program. The plant's management reported that the retrofitting project is being implemented in two stages. The first stage includes the renewal of the hull preparation and assembly and welding facilities. The second stage envisages the completion of modernization of the assembly and welding production sites, the modernization of the machining and pipeline facilities, as well as the reconstruction of the "life-support" systems of the lift basin.

Then the guests inspected the staging and fitting-out workshop, where they were informed about the implementation of current projects, in particular, the progress of the construction of ships under the State Defense Order.

Mistakhov noted that the production and technical facilities of the enterprise consist of a complex of workshops covering all types of shipbuilding production and allowing to build various types of ships and small and medium-sized vessels.
