Rustam Minnikhanov has a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Russia Hüseyin Diriöz

On May 18, at their meeting in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Turkish Ambassador to Russia Hüseyin Diriöz discussed further steps to expand trade, economic and cultural ties between Tatarstan and Turkey.

Minnikhanov stressed that Turkey is one of the main foreign economic partners of Tatarstan. Today, ten factories set up with the participation of Turkish companies are successfully operating in the republic. A number of projects involving Turkish capital are about to be implemented.

In his turn Hüseyin Diriöz noted that Turkey is interested in strengthening economic ties with Tatarstan as one of the leading regions of Russia.

Diriöz arrived in Kazan to take part in the ninth International Economic Summit "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanSummit 2017".

Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov, Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina and General Consul of Turkey in Kazan Turhan Dilmach also took part in the meeting.
