On the Russian Language Day, Rustam Minnikhanov meets with activists of the Russian National Cultural Association of Tatarstan

On June 6, during events dedicated to the Russian Language Day and the 218th anniversary of birth of Alexander Pushkin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with activists of the Russian National Cultural Association of Tatarstan.

Minnikhanov appreciated the activities of the Russian National Cultural Association of Tatarstan on the preservation and development of the native language. "You are working very efficiently," he said.

He also noted that the role of the Russian National Cultural Association of the republic is enormous. There are branches of the Association in all municipal regions of the republic, which demonstrates the systemic work and the fact that the activity of the Association is appreciated by people.

For our part, we really feel your support in many matters, your constructive position is very important, thank you, Minnikhanov said, addressing activists of the Association.

Board Chairman of the Russian National Cultural Association of Tatarstan, a member of the Tatarstan Presidential Council for Inter-ethnic and Inter-сonfessional Relations Vasily Nosov reminded that this is the fifth meeting of representatives of the Association with leadership of the republic. According to him, the Russian National Cultural Association of Tatarstan is developing steadily and is aimed at many years of work, as it is in demand.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov was also informed that a number of folk music groups need national costumes for their concert activity. Tatarstan President gave an errand to allocate funds required for tailoring concert costumes for several groups.

Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, Minister of Education and Science of the republic Engel Fattakhov, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials took part in the meeting.
