Russian pavilion and Tatarstan's display are becoming the most visited sites at EXPO-2017

On June 12, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov continued his work at the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO-2017, where he held a presentation of Tatarstan's display in the Russian pavilion.

"The Tatarstan delegation is taking part in the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO-2017 with great pleasure. I want to congratulate all the fraternal people of Kazakhstan and its President Nursultan Nazarbayev on this significant event," Minnikhanov said opening the Tatarstan's display. “I am sure that the exhibition will be held at the highest level. In the next three months Astana will be a world centre of scientific and technological achievements and a platform for innovation in the power engineering sector, will demonstrate the progress of Kazakhstan and will give an impetus to innovative development. We are pleased that today, on the Russia Day, Tatarstan, as one of the leading, industrially developed and innovative regions, represents our country at Astana EXPO-2017. I congratulate everyone on the Russian state holiday and wish well-being and prosperity to our countries and peoples,” Minnikhanov continued.

Later on the same day, at their meeting in the Russian pavilion Mayor of the Almaty region Amandyk Batalov, Chairman of Baiterek National Managing Holding Erbolat Dosayev and Tatarstan President discussed Tatarstan-Kazakhstan relations in the field of trade and economic cooperation and expressed their intention to develop mutually beneficial relations in the future.

"We will be very pleased to develop cooperation with the Almaty region. Last year, trade turnover between Tatarstan and Kazakhstan decreased by 13 per cent. We need to intensify our work on increasing mutual trade,” Minnikhanov said and invited Mayor of the Almaty region to visit Tatarstan.
