Tatarstan President arrives on one-day visit in Kurgan

On February 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a one-day visit in Kurgan, was met by Governor of Kurgan Region Alexei Kokorin, Chairman of Kurgan Region Duma Vladimir Vorobiev and other official at the Kurgan Airport.
During his visit, Rustam Minnikhanov is scheduled to visit Sintez medicine plant, Kurganstalmost , an enterprise manufacturing steel superstructures for bridges, and the Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics.
A meeting with activists of the Kurgan Region’s Congress of Tatars is scheduled as well.
Republic of Tatarstan and Kurgan Region are expected to sign a trade-economic, science-technology, social and culture cooperation agreement.
On May 6, speaking at a briefing held in the Government House of Tatarstan and dedicated to the issues of holding the sowing campaign in the republic, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic-Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Marat Zyabbarov said that in the current year the sowing area will be 2.7 million hectares, which is at the level of last year, including 1.8 million hectares allocated for spring sowing.
On 2 May, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of Tatarstan Investments Development Agency Taliya Minullina said: “We already have nearly 11 thousand participants registered from 80 countries. We understand that this is not the limit. The registration ends on 6 May and we expect as usual that there will the increased number of participants.”
On 29 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin attended a rugby game between Strela Ak-Bars (Kazan) and Lokomotiv-Penza teams held at the Mordovia Arena stadium in Saransk with participation of 7 102 spectators.
On 24 April, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage sites and confined to the International Day of Historical Monuments and Sites held in the Government House of the republic, the Aid to the Rais of Tatarstan Olesya Baltusova informed that in 2024 the Rebus Forum will be held on 14-15 November. She reminded that in the current year the forum will be named “Aglomerations: Experience, Opportunities. Challenges” and will be held with participation of China “as it will take place during the ROSTCI Forum.”
