Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in opening of Hayat Kimya plant at Alabuga Special Economic Zone

On March 27, Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Turkish Minister of Economy Turkey Nihat Zeybekçi took part in solemn opening of Hayat Kimya plant at Alabuga Special Economic Zone.

Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Director General of SEZ Alabuga Timur Shagivaleev, Deputy Board Chairman of Hayat holding Mehmet Avni Kiğılı, members of the Turkish delegation, regional ministers took part in the event.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Nihat Zeybekçi looked around the production facilities and manufactured products.

In his welcoming speech, Minnikhanov thanked Hayat Kimya leadership for building the plant at SEZ Alabuga and assured that local authorities will support the project.

“Leadership of the republic will support all projects implemented on its territory, including those at SEZ Alabuga. I would like to express my gratitude to President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for trusting us. All our projects will be successfully implemented,” Minnikhanov said.

Nihat Zeybekçi noted that the new plant is located in Tatarstan, the brotherly region of Turkey, and to develop investment relations large-scale joint work is needed.

“I think that such major investments will be impossible without overall support of Rustam Minnikhanov. I want to congratulate him on successful work on his position and large-scale work on providing necessary conditions for businessmen and foreign investors. My colleagues told me about the support Rustam Minnikhanov renders to businessmen, and now I have become personally certain of it. I have never seen such a good attitude to investors,” Nihat Zeybekçi said. He added that SEZ Alabuga is very important for economic development of the republic and prospects of its residents will attract new investors.

Speaking about Hayat Kimya, Nihat Zeybekçi said that the company has developed integrated production and it is going to expand its presence in Russia.
