Rustam Minnikhanov hands out state awards of Russia and Tatarstan

On April 29, in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed out state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan to outstanding figures of science, culture, production and industry.

Welcoming participants of the event, Minnikhanov noted that every awardee makes a major contribution to the development of the republic.

“I would like to note that on the threshold of the Great Victory Day our dear veterans are present here. Representatives of all branches of the economy and social and cultural sphere are also here today. Needless to say that people are the prosperity of the republic. We have oil, land, water, but without people – patriots of their land, their republic, we would not be successful,” Tatarstan President said and proceeded to the awarding ceremony.

Deputy Director General for Capital Construction of TAIF-NK Ildus Safin, who was awarded the title of honour “Honoured Builder of the Russian Federation” for his merits in the construction of facilities of oil refining industry, said that the construction of a new oil refining complex in Nizhnekamsk will be completed soon.

“I would like to thank the Russian Government and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan for appreciating my work. This is of particular importance to us and out team that I am receiving this award when the construction of an advanced heavy residue conversion complex is almost completed. This innovative project will allow Tatarstan to move to a qualitatively new level in oil stock refining,” he said.

Besides, participant of World War II Vasil Khuzakhmetov was awarded the Medal of the Order of Merit to the Republic of Tatarstan for many years of fruitful work and particular contribution to the patriotic education of the youth.

Summing up, Minnikhanov once again thanked awardees for their work and achieved results.
