Tatarstan President to students of Kazan Technical College of Information Technology and Communications: Professions you have chosen are the most demanded today

On September 1, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Russia Lyudmila Ogorodova visited the Interregional Competence Centre - Kazan Technical College of Information Technology and Communications.

During their visit, the honoured guest looked around educational facilities, laboratories of sound and television broadcasting and digital telecommunication systems,  a training ground for the preparation of the national team for the Worldsills championships, where they were shown training sites for six IT competencies of the competition assigned to the college. Moreover, the guests got acquainted with expositions of the renovated communication history museum of the college.

After that, Minnikhanov and Ogorodova took part in a solemn lineup dedicated to the Day of Knowledge.

Speaking at the event, Tatarstan President noted the high level of technical equipment of the school. "All that we have looked around meets all world standards," he said. “Professions that you have chosen are the most demanded today. In modern conditions, things are changing very quickly. This centre will allow us to transfer our human resources to the most important tasks," he continued.

According to Ogorodova, she has visited Kazan Technical College of Information Technologies and Communication more than once this year. “The training of professional workers and new specialists is very important for the socio-economic development of Russia. The victory of our country for technology in the global market and prizes in world championships, at which Russia demonstrates its superiority and dynamics, are even more important," she said.
