About the Government

The Cabinet of the Republic of Tatarstan is the executive and regulatory public authority. The Cabinet is responsible to the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Cabinet of the Republic of Tatarstan consolidates, directs and controls the work of ministries, state committees and other authorities under Cabinet’s jurisdiction.

The work ofthe Republic of Tatarstan Cabinet is regulated by following legal documents:

The Cabinet of the Republic of Tatarstan under its competence:

• confirms regulations of ministries, state committees and other state authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan, determines the structure of these authorities and their members number limit;
• appoints and releases from duties deputy heads of executive authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan, confirms the composition of ministry boards, state committees and other state authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan;
• according to law determines the order of establishment and work of the Territorial bodies of federal executive authorities in the Republic of Tatarstan, sets standarts and size of allocations for their activities;
• the Cabinet of the Republic of Tatarstan controls the correspondence of normative legal acts of the republican executive authorities (departmental normative legal acts) with the federal legislation, Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan, Republic of Tatarstan laws, Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan legal acts, RT Cabinet legal acts.
