Rustam Minnikhanov visits Rehabilitation center for handicapped children and youth in Kazan

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Rehabilitation center for handicapped children and youth (Kazan, Zorge st., 103). Head of republic got to know about activity of the centre, looked over the rooms and spoke to parents whose children visit this institution.
Rustam Minnikhanov and his party overviewed physiotherapy room, logopedist room, sensory and rehabilitation rooms.
In one of the halls handicapped children showed a small performance prepared specially for Day of knowledge. President of Tatarstan handed schoolbags to the children. Later on he visited computer class where senior students were training. Director of the institution Zulfa Aminova told about facilities of rehabilitation centre.
Minister of labor, employment and social care Airat Shafigullin presented conception of creating new centre with extended functions – Republican scientific-practical centre of complex rehabilitation of the disabled (on the basis of existing centre).
The purpose of creating such centre is providing fixed level of social guarantees, rendering rehabilitation services, including professional, social, psychological rehabilitation to disabled and handicapped people.

Head of republic was accompanied by RT Minister of health care Airat Farrakhov and Aide to RT President on social issues Tatiana Larionova.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
