Rustam Minnikhanov: “Yokogawa Electric Corporation” is a partner of Tatarstan by many projects

“Yokogawa Electric Corporation” being the company of international level is the partner of Tatarstan Republic by many economic projects”, - President of Tatartan Rustam Minnikhanov said at a meeting with President of “Yokogawa Electric Corporation” Shuso Kaihori.
The meeting took place at Kazan national research technological university after the ceremony of opening laboratory of “Yokogawa Electric Corporation” on the basis of the university.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov in Russian-Japanese relationships Tatarstan takes an important place. Cooperation between Tatarstan and “Yokogawa Electric Corporation” by several large projects proves this fact. “Such projects play a certain role in relationships between countries and settle the differences between them”, - Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Head of republic noted that “Yokogawa” have acquired the reputation as one of the most technological companies and continues developing on the competitive market. He thanked company’s leadership for opening a modern laboratory and claimed that Yokogawa had come to Russia for a long time and the most advanced technologies may be studied on the basis of one university.
Shuso Kaihori in his turn informed that it is his second visit to Kazan. “I have learnt that Kazan means “boiler” if translated from Tatar language. And I see everything is really “boiling” and developing here”, - President of “Yokogawa Electric Corporation” said.
Shuso Kaihori thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for supporting realization of project “TANECO”, stage 1B for which “Yokogawa” was also attracted. He also expressed gratitude for choosing “Yokogawa” for realization of project ASU TP at JSC “Ammony” (complex for producing methanol, ammonia and carbamide in Mendeleevsk) by means of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
Shuso Kaihori informed that a service centre of the company will be opened in Nizhnekamsk (JSC “TANECO”) in the end of September 2011. Besides, opening of Centre for making complex solutions “Yokogawa” for Russia and CIS is planned for March 2012. The project implies development of interaction with Kazan national research technological university.
Within the limits of further cooperation “Yokogawa” invited specialists of Ministry of energy to visit plants of the company in the middle of October 2011.
“I confirm all commitments by all our promises. Our company does not violate its commitments”, - Mr Shuso Kaihori said.
Later on Rustam Minnikhanov, Shuso Kaihori and their attendants took part in a meeting with students and teachers of Kazan national research technological university and congratulated everyone on Day of knowledge that is celebrated throughout the country on September, 1.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
