Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a meeting between Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe

On October 1, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on a working visit to Japan (October 1-2, 2017), took part in a meeting between Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, which was held during the Science and Technology in Society Forum (STS-forum).

The meeting discussed bilateral relations in the sphere of economy, as well as international issues. Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Hiroshige Seko, who was appointed Minister for Economic Cooperation with Russia (on September 1, 2016), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Governor of the Kaluga Region Anatoly Artamonov took part in the meeting.

Later on the same day, a meeting of the Russian delegation with Chairman and Founder of the Science and Technology in Society International Forum Koji Omi took place. In 2004, he founded the forum with the aim of creating a worldwide network of scientists, politicians, businessmen and journalists.

Introducing participants of the Russian delegation to Mr. Koji Omi, Dvorkovich said: "When investors are wondering where it is the best place to work, I answer that Tatarstan and the Kaluga Region are in the first place."

Also, Dvorkovich invited Japanese fans to attend the FIFA World Cup in 2018, which will be held in Russia (Kazan will host six matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup).
