President of Tatarstan visits the exposition of “KAMAZ” at the specialized exhibition “ComTrans-2011” in Moscow

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has visited the exposition of OJSC “KAMAZ” at the exhibition “ComTrans-2011” in Moscow today.
We remind that the international specialized exhibition of commercial transport “ComTrans-2011” is held on the 13-17th of September on the territory of “Crokus-Expo” (Moscow).
Rustam Minnikhanov has acquainted with the exposition of “KAMAZ”, with new examples of automotive engineering, exhibited there, especially with the artic “KAMAZ-5490”. This model is presented in two options - with their own developed cab and with the cab developed together with the company “Daimler AG”. President of the Republic of Tatarstan was accompanied by Director General of OJSC “KAMAZ” Sergey Kogogin.
Rustam Minnikhanov has also looked at the power units of “KAMAZ” and joint venture “Cummins Kama” as well as special vehicles created by offspring and joint ventures on the basis of the KAMAZ understructure – “RariTEK” LLC, OJSC “Tumazinskiy Ready-mix Truck Factory” and “Boshung AG”. All special vehicles are equipped with new restyling cabs which substitute uprated types of cabs. In the opinion of Rustam Minnikhanov, all models should find their consumers in all branches of economics.
Answering the journalists questions, Rustam Minnikhanov has declared that the exhibition “ComTrans-2011” is grand in terms of its market size, and “KAMAZ” is a “diamond of this exhibition”.

“ComTrans-2011” is a high-profile event in the sphere of commercial transport not only in Europe, but also in the world. The International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA) has included “ComTrans” in the official calendar.

On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.
