Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the signing of a long-term strategic cooperation agreement between Kazanorgsintez Chemical Company and Univation Technologies in Houston

On October 23, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed participants of the Texas-Tatarstan business forum in Houston (the USA), where a number of agreements were signed.

Representatives of American companies interested in developing business contacts with the regional industrial enterprises made their speeches.

On the sidelines of the forum, an agreement was signed between the Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute and Rice University (Houston). Moreover, Kazanorgsintez Chemical Company and Univation Technologies signed an agreement on long-term strategic cooperation, which envisages further development of the production of high density polyethylene (HDPE) at the chemical enterprise and the increase in the capacity of HDPE by 150,000 tonnes per year - up to 660,000 tonnes annually, further joint development of the production of catalysts, etc.

Aide to Tatarstan President Rinat Sabirov said that the agreement is a logical continuation of the cooperation initiated by Kazanorgsintez Company and Univation Technologies in 1983, when Kazanorgsintez obtained a license for the production of HDPE.
