Сross-country Race of Nations -2011 competition takes place in Kazan

Today in Kazan an all-Russian Day of run «cross-country Race of Nations - 2011» like in else 79 cities of Russia has taken place. All willing to take part: sports veterans, families with children, pupils, students, the disabled and bicyclists went on to marks at Millennium square.
Welcoming the participants of competition RT Prime minister Ildar Khalikov noted that on this day the most active and sportive residents of Kazan have come together at the Millennium square. He expressed hope that tomorrow all those who today had got on marks would start the day from jogging, physical culture, premiere wished the participants good temper and successes.
Chief of Kazan ex. com. Aleksei Pesoshin also wished luck to distance runners.
First time this year «cross-country Race of Nations » in Kazan has been supported by the bicyclists. Namely, they went to on marks after official opening of the event. Their distance made 8 000 m. The following on distance 2000m were the people with limited physical fitness. Further, 2000м, family couples with children coped.
A traditional distance 2013 m fell to the participants of VIP run. The first in this run became deputy chief of RT Cabinet staff –chief of RT Cabinet administration Airat Khairulin. «Today is a beautiful weather favoring the participants. No rain, not cold – exactly, a perfect fit. Such measures might be held not once year, but twice. Because sports events join the youth to healthy way life. Health should be kept from young years and such active kinds of sports as running, skiing, swimming always make you feel well», - said a winner on finish.
The second in VIP-run was RT minister of ecology Artyom Sidorov, the trio of leaders closed Marat Gatin, Head of the Presidential Directorate for Interaction with Religious Organizations.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
