Russian–Singapore Business Forum has commenced its work

Today in Singapore the VI Russian Singapore business forum has commenced its work. The delegation from Tatarstan headed by RT President R.N. Minnikhanov takes part in a work of the forum. The delegation includes also vice- RT prime minister RT minister of info and telecom Nikolai Nikiforov, chairman of RT Investment development agency Linar Yakupov, director of RT External relations department – aide to RT President Iskander Muflikhanov, chiefs of major RT enterprises.
Russian-Singapore business forum having become a traditional event is being held this year from September 25 to 28. The forum participants are going to discuss actual problems of economic development, the agreements are expected to be concluded between business representatives of Russia, the CIS countries and Asian Pacific region.
Tatarstan delegation in light of the forum holds separate presentation of economic potential of the republic. So, the air company Al Bars Aero, JSC Zelenodolsk shipyard plant, JSC Kazan helicopters will show their presentations.
Today during the opening ceremony of the forum the guests have been welcomed by RSBF founder, ex-ambassador of Singapore to Russia Michael Tei and board chairman of Sberbank German Gref. They wished successful work to the forum participants and German Gref said that increasing number of forum participants speaks about big prospects of trade-economic cooperation between Russia and Singapore and Asia at large.
On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
