On November 8, in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Tatarstan Minister of Internal Affairs Artem Khokhorin took part in the ceremonial opening of a new police station “Safiullina”, the construction of which started in 2015.
Minnikhanov handed in the medal of the Republic of Tatarstan “For Valorous Labour” and keys to a new ministerial Ford Focus car to Head of Police Office Aleksey Ershov.
In his turn, Khokhorin handed over keys to a new Niva car to Deputy Head of district police officers of the Safiullina department Nikolay Petukhov.
“Today we are opening a new police station. Its facilities, working conditions, proximity to a housing complex are key factors, which will double the success in your further work. The regional officials are grateful to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for this gift. In its turn, Tatarstan is actively involved in the implementation of the projects of the Ministry of Internal Affairs such as the reconstruction and renovation of facilities, the improvement of infrastructure and equipment. We do understand that the police should have good facilities and convenient system for communication with citizens,” Minnikhanov said.
After the opening ceremony Tatarstan President and other officials looked around a new building of the police department, namely a room for reception of citizens, a police control room, detention facilities and a shooting range.
