Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates the State Institute of Applied Optics on its 60th anniversary

On November 10, at the Korston Entertainment Complex, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremonial event to mark the 60th anniversary of the State Institute of Applied Optics.

“From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you on the 60th anniversary of the State Institute of Applied Optics. Over these years, the Institute has come a complicated way from a small branch to a federal research and production centre. Your company is on a par with the flagships of the Russian defense industry. Your achievements are impressive! Over the past ten years, your output and profit have multiplied by six, while working efficiency has increased by seven times,” Minnikhanov said in his welcoming speech.

He also said that the Institute’s staff fulfilled this year’s plan in nine months.

“I am sure that the accumulated potential and existing practices will allow the enterprise to continue to strengthen the defense capability of our country,” Tatarstan President stated.

He continued that employees are the key to success and the main value of the Institute. Minnikhanov thanked the employees of the State Institute of Applied Optics for their fruitful work for the benefit of Russia in general and Tatarstan in particular, as well as for a worthy contribution to the development of domestic optoelectronic instrument-making industry.

Tatarstan President wished the company prosperity and further success.

Minnikhanov said that the regional leadership and the parent company will continue to support the Institute in all its initiatives.

He continued that earlier the same day, Tatarstan Government and Shvabe Company signed an agreement on cooperation in the development of scientific, technical, industrial and intellectual potential of industrial, scientific and educational organizations of the republic.

“The State Institute of Applied Optics is one of the high-technology companies of the republic and the country. We have agreed that our plans will continue to grow and that we will develop a solid programme for further growth,” Minnikhanov said, commenting on the signed agreement.
