On November 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated employees of the Kazan Aviation Plant on the 90th anniversary of the plant.

According to him, 90 years of work of the enterprise are 90 years of progress, constant introduction of new technologies into production, and well thought-out social policy.

"The history of the plant is a bright page in the history of domestic aircraft construction," Tatarstan President continued. "This is the biography of a number of scientists, aircraft designers, test pilots, talented production managers, thousands of workers and engineers due to selfless labor of which the Russian aviation has become famous in the world. The name of the enterprise will be forever associated with the production of unique military and civil aircrafts from the first serial all-metal ANT-3 aircraft to the modern Tu-214 airliner. "

As it was 90 years ago, the main task of the plant is to ensure the country's defense capability, Minnikhanov stressed. He continued that the plant is successfully implementing the production programme, enhancing its technical capabilities.

Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to old stagers of the plant for their personal contribution to the development of the country's defense capability.
