Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in an event to mark the 25th anniversary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tatarstan

On November 16, at the Korston Entertainment Complex, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in an event to mark the 25th anniversary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tatarstan.

President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia Sergey Katyrin, Chairman of the regional State Council Farid Mukhametshin, other officials and representatives of Tatarstan businesses took part in the event.

"Today we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tatarstan," Minnikhanov said in his welcoming speech. “I would also like to congratulate the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation as well, which will mark its 100th anniversary this year."

Minnikhanov noted achievements of Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the republic Shamil Ageyev. In particular, he stressed that Ageyev has led the regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry all these years. "Shamil Rakhimovich knows how to work both with authorities and business community of Tatarstan, Russia and abroad," Minnikhanov said.

Tatarstan President handed in the Medal of the Order of Merit for the Republic of Tatarstan to Ageyev and the medal “For Valorous Labour” to Katyrin.

In his turn, Katyrin appreciated the performance of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the republic. He reminded about difficulties it faced with at the beginning. "I would like to express special words of gratitude not only to Shamil Ageyev, but also to the leadership of the republic, which all these 25 years has supported and promoted the development of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry," Katyrin stressed.
