Marat Akhmetov reports on modernization of farm equipment in the republic

On December 2, speaking at a regional video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of all regions of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov reported on the modernization and preparation of farm equipment for the next sowing campaign.

He said that more than 650 farms have purchased almost 3,000 units of various machinery under the regional programme, with the amount of subsidies making 1.55 billion roubles. Also, some of the leasing payments were reimbursed for quicker renovation of the machinery park.

He continued that a week ago preparation of farm equipment for winter storage and repair was checked in all regions.

During the maintenance period, the equipment should be properly prepared for the next season, the minister said. Akhmetov reminded heads of agricultural enterprises and agro-holdings, that all dealers and plants usually offer seasonal discounts for spare parts in winter. In spring, prices for spare parts will be 1.5 times higher.

Summing up, the minister added that starting next week thematic seminars and meetings will be held in the regions to speed up the repair work.

In his turn, Minnikhanov added that the improvement of facilities of farms is one of the main factors of effective agricultural activities.
