Rustam Minnikhanov meets Chairman of the Board of Directors of Maire Tecnimont Company Fabrizio Di Amato

On December 13, during his working visit to Milan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors of Maire Tecnimont Company Fabrizio Di Amato. 

Employing about 5300 people, the Maire Tecnimont Group unites about 50 companies in 40 countries. Being a player in the global market of engineering, general contracting and licensing of technology, the company actively works in various branches of industry, including oil and gas, petrochemical, power engineering, renewable energy sources and infrastructure projects.

Minnikhanov and members of the delegation of the republic were shown around the company and were told about primary development areas. The meeting discussed cooperation in the field of petrochemical industry, industrial dynamics in the industry, and other topics.

Tatarstan President noted that there is an opportunity to expand cooperation, because Italy remains a strategic partner for the republic.

Tecnimont and Tatarstan have had good relations, Minnikhanov emphasized, adding that the regional TAIF Production and Investment Company has ambitious plans for further development to boost its capacity.

We need to move forward to intensify our contacts, Minnikhanov continued.

The meeting also discussed the possibility of renewing relations with the TAIF Group in terms of potential cooperation as part of the second phase of the Ethylene-600 project (Nizhnekamskneftekhim Petrochemical Company).

Summing up the meeting, Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan is open for cooperation and offered to actively contact within possible joint projects.
