On December 14, in the Governor’s Palace at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Acting Head of Dagestan Vladimir Vasilyev, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan.
Welcoming the colleagues, Minnikhanov said that he has known Vasilyev for a long time. He also thanked the Dagestan delegation for having chosen Tatarstan to become one of the first places of their visit.
“As for cooperation, we would like to reach a new agreement, to sign a road map and a plan of actions. Today you have become acquainted with the regional processes and structures. We need to intensify our relationships in trade, culture and education and other areas,” Minnikhanov said.
In his turn, Vasilyev thanked Minnikhanov for the opportunity to come to Tatarstan and to study the experience in many areas.
“There is nothing more efficient than to use the friends’ experience,” Vasilyev said.
According to him, there is the opportunity to study the regional experience in such issues as the spending of budget funds, road safety and others.
After the meeting, Minnikhanov and Vasilyev answered questions from journalists.
