Rustam Minnikhanov granted awards to players and coaches of “Zenit-Kazan”

For many sport seasons volleyball players of “Zenit-Kazan” have demonstrated a striking game, justified confidence of fans, being a strong team, the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated honouring the team “Zenit-Kazan”, the winner of Russian Championship among men’s teams, holder of Super Cup of Russia – 2011.
Celebrations on this occasion took place at the Kazan Kremlin with participation of sportsmen and coaches of volleyball club “Zenit-Kazan”, Chairman of RT State Council – Head of Tatarstan volleyball federation Farid Mukhametshin, Head of the interior Ministry on RT – Chairman of FSO “Dinamo” on RT Asgat Safarov, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, President of the club Zenit-Kazan – Director-general of OOO “Gasprom transgas Kazan” Rafkat Kantyukov.
Honouring teams winning Russian championships and other competitions has become a good tradition in our republic, Rustam Minnikhanov said. Zenit-Kazan is one of the strongest teams, a four-time Russian champion of 2010/11 season and two-time Super cup holder of Russia.
All members of the team including sportsmen, coaches, management work for common success going through wins and losses, forming the team’s spirit, Rustam Minnikhanov added.
The Tatarstan President addressed words of gratitude to management of Gasprom company sponsoring the team. By his words, Zenit-Kazan is one of the strongest teams being sponsored by Gasprom.
Rustam Minnikhanov granted state awards of the Tatarstan Republic to players and coaches, - honourable titles “Honoured worker of physical culture and sport”, medals “For valorous work”, and letter of thanks of the RT President.
Chief coach of Zenit-Kazan Vladimir Alekno in his turn thanked the republican leadership for support and granted a golden medal of Russian volleyball championship to Rustam Minnikhanov.
President of the club Zenit-Kazan – Director-general of OOO “Gasprom transgas Kazan” Rafkat Kantyukov wished sportsmen good luck and thanked everyone who supports volleyball.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
