By the end of year all disabled children in Tatarstan will be involved in distance education

By the end of 2011 all disabled children will be provided with distance education, Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov stated at a video conference on results of implementing national projects “Health” and “Education” for 9 months of 2011. The session was held by Deputy chairman of RF Government Aleksandr Zhukov.
By words of Aleksandr Zhukov for 9 months of 2011 2,7 mln people turned to 695 health care centres in Russia that exceeds the rate of the same period last year. Only 670 thousand people were considered to be healthy. Others were directed to medical institutions.
In the context of the national project “Health” more than 400 thousand orphan children and children being in difficult life situation, 1,5 mln working citizens have passed medical examination for 9 months of 2011.
According to the data given by Aleksandr Zhukov 1,329 ml people were born in Russian during the indicated period (by 8,6 thousand people less than last year). RF vice-premier believes decline in the birth rate requires efficient measures on stimulating fertility and decreasing infant mortality. At the same time total mortality rate has decreased by 5,9 % (90 thousand people).
Speaking about implementation of national project “Education” Aleksandr Zhukov marked approval of programs on developing federal universities completed in 2011.
From this year measures on developing network of pre-school educational institutions are taken for the first time.
Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov reported on realization of the national project “Education”. He thanked Russian leadership on behalf of health care and education employees for implementation of the national projects.
For 9 months 830 mln roubles were spent for realization of measures in the context of national project “Education”. These funds are being directed in four areas, in particular, encouragement of the best teachers, organization of distance education for disabled children, payment of monthly compensations for classroom management and support of talented young people.
Ildar Khalikov informed as well that several projects are being realized in Republic by its own means.
Chief sanitary officer of Russia Gennady Onishenko was interested in plans on developing the present-day system of school catering and asked to take into consideration equipping of medical rooms in republican schools. We will put much emphasis on this issue, Head of Tatarstan Government assured Gennady Onishenko.
On 26 March Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a meeting of the Council by the Russian Presidential Envoy in the Volga Federal District dedicated to rural demographic policy held by the Russian Presidential Envoy in the District Igor Komarov in Nizhniy Novgorod with participation of heads of federal ministries concerned, representatives of the Federal Assembly and heads of federal entities of the Volga Federal District. The participants of the meeting discussed such topics as the demographic situation, implementation of federal programmes and the best regional practices, and the results of the meeting will be used for preparing comprehensive solutions of such tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin as preservation of the population, strengthening health, raising prosperity of people and supporting families.
On 24 March, speaking at a briefing on achievements of preventive medicine last year and plans for 2026 held in the Government House of the republic, representatives of Tatarstan Healthcare Ministry said that medical check-ups are proving their effectiveness in preserving the health and lives of residents of the republic.
Thus the regional Healthcare Minister Almir Abashev informed: “Over the past five years, a clear course has been set to ensure that preventative medicine in the country gains momentum. Starting from 2022 the number of people who should have their medical check-ups in this or that year is growing. We are facing a task of covering more than 70 per cent of elderly people with check-ups by 2030.”
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
