Rustam Minnikhanov answered questions of federal mass media regarding the development of IT-projects in Tatarstan

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov told federal mass media about development of several projects in IT-sector, in particular the project “E-Government of RT”.
Rustam Minnikhanov met with journalists of federal publications presented in Tatarstan (“Vedomosti”, “Izvestiya”, “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, “Argumenty i Fakty”, “Rossiiskaya gazeta”) in IT-park (Kazan, Peterburgskaya str).
Minister of informatization and communications Nikolay Nikiforov told about the process of rendering public services in electronic format.
Public services in electronic format in Tatarstan Republic are available on PC, laptops, smartphones and infomats (150 infomats of new generation have already been installed in Republic). From 2012 infomats of third generation for granting services using universal e-card will be introduced in Tatarstan.
Nikolay Nikiforov informed in October 2011 citizens used e-services 1,1 mln times. Today 32 % fines of STSI (State Traffic Safety Inspectorate) are paid electronically, 59 % parents used e-service “e-queue to kindergarten”, 74 % couples submitted applications to Civil Status Registry Office in electronic format, every fifth international passport is issued electronically.
Moreover, the “feedback” service is functioning in Republic to receive various suggestions and comments from citizens regarding the quality of mobile communication, major repair, etc.
By words of Nikolay Nikiforov, in prospect every second public service will be granted to citizens electronically.
Rustam Minnikhanov and journalists of federal mass media were also told about production of infomats and their evolution. Later on they visited Contact-centre of public and municipal services.
After the excursion Rustam Minnikhanov answered journalists’ questions. Head of Republic told about plans on preparing IT-specialists. For this purpose a special unit is being constructed in a boarding school for talented children. It is expected that next year first pupils will start learning at the school that is now being constructed on the territory of Universiade Village.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded as well that on November, 8 at the VI report-election conference of Republican Council of public organizations of RT veterans (pensioners) he suggested organizing computer courses for elderly people.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
