23 January 2018, Tuesday

On January 23, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House, Director of Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan Ainur Aideldinov and Director of Pulsar Venture Capital Pavel Korolev reported that the 14th regional contest “The Best 50 Innovative Ideas for Tatarstan” and the programme of innovative projects “Idea-1000” were launched in Tatarstan.

They reminded that the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic implements a number of interrelated programmes to improve the innovative development of the republic, increase the number of knowledge-intensive production facilities in the region and introduce new innovative technologies, with the contest "The best 50 innovative ideas for Tatarstan", the programme of innovative projects "Idea 1000" and the Russian Venture Forum being the key ones.

The 14th regional contest "The Best  50 Innovative Ideas for Tatarstan" started on the 1st of January, 2018, with two new nominations having been added. The programme of innovative projects "Idea 1000", envisaging the establishment of knowledge-intensive technology companies, was also launched in a new format.

The amendments to the programmes are aimed at increasing the number of technological entrepreneurs in the priority sectors of the economy of the republic. The amount of financing for one project will increase from 3 to 20 million roubles due to the redistribution of existing budgets. The total period of project implementation will be effectively reduced from 3.5 to 1.5 years.

The expected final effect is the activation of the processes of commercialization of research and development, the development of new knowledge-intensive products, the entry of regional start-ups to the global market with the participation of leading international experts and mentors, entrepreneurs and investors. This work will result in increased innovative projects implemented in the regional economy and the creation of new highly skilled jobs.
