The results of joint work between Tatarstan and Rosatom State Atomic Corporation summed up at the Government House of the republic

On February 17, in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director General of the Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation Aleksey Likhachev, Director of the Russian Federal Nuclear Centre – All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics Valentin Kostyukov took part in a meeting to sum up the preliminary results of joint work between Tatarstan and Rosatom Corporation.

In June 2017, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2017, Tatarstan and the Rosatom Corporation signed the cooperation agreement, which envisages the implementation of pilot projects in the field of digital economy. Besides, the parties agreed to set up “The Digital Region” in Tatarstan and introduce solutions developed by the Rosatom’s enterprise - the Russian Federal Nuclear Centre – All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics at the industrial enterprises.

Today’s meeting summed the results of joint work and discussed plans for 2018, which, in particular, include the establishment of a competence centre of the complete life cycle system “Digital Enterprise” at the University of Innopolis, the participation of pilot enterprises in projects to set up the Digital Enterprise, the submission of a number of educational projects for discussion at the Ministry of Education of Russia.

Minnikhanov thanked Likhachev for his visit to Kazan and for joint work. He reminded that in 2017 they met several times to discuss current topics. "We are working with the Rosatom Corporation in all directions.  Today we need to determine further steps of our cooperation," Minnikhanov said.

We have common goals and common objectives and our tasks are ambitious, Likhachev said in his turn. He also noted that as part of the world championship competition of professional skills to be held in Kazan in 2019, Rosatom was chosen as the main technology partner.

Speaking about the digital economy, Likhachev said that this should be regarded as a strategic task, since today products to multiply the work of enterprises and the economy in general and to optimize production processes are needed.
