Presentation of the Kazan Kremlin, Bolgar and Sviyazhsk to be held in Paris

On November 28, 2011 Tatarstan delegation led by the Minister of culture Airat Sibagatullin arrived in Paris to organize and hold an exhibition at the Russian cultural centre in nominations “Bolgar historical-archeological complex”, “Sviyazhsk historical-cultural and landscape complex” from the preliminary list of World cultural and natural heritage UNESCO, and the Kazan Kremlin as an objects of UNESCO World heritage.
The proposal to present three republican objects within the confines of 17th General Assembly ICOMOS was received by RT State Counsellor, board Chairman of “Vozrozhdenie” Fund Mintimer Shaimiev from the leadership of International council on monuments and sites (ICOMOS) and Russian cultural centre in Paris.
The exhibition will open on November 29. Nominations are presented by RT Minister of culture Airat Sibagatullin and Aide to RT President on social issues, CEO of Republican fund of historical and cultural monuments Tatyana Larionova.
Today Tatarstan delegation visited UNESCO HQ where the 17th General Assembly of International council on monuments and sites (ICOMOS) is being held on November 28-December 1.
Tatarstan representatives - Head of UNESCO Volga department on preserving architectural monuments, Chairman of ICOMOS Tatarstan department Rafael Valeev, Director of Bolgar historical-architectural culture preserve Rafael Makhmutov, and Director of historical-architectural and arts museum “Island-town Sviyazhsk” Artem Silkin took part in opening and plenary session of General Assembly, scientific symposium “Heritage - stimulus of development” and opening of the exhibition “Profession of archeologist” dedicated to working experience of seven countries of the EU.
The Russian Federation in presented by the representative of Russian Federation in UNESCO Eleonora Mitrofanova and President of Russian national committee of ICOMOS Igor Makovetsky.

International council on monuments and sites (ICOMOS) is an international organization engaged in preservation and protection of cultural-historical sites all over the world. ICOMOS was founded in 1965 after adoption of Venetian charter of 1964.
The council implements assessment of objects suggested for inclusion in the List of World heritage of UNO, comparative analysis, technical maintenance and preparation of reports about the state of objects included in the list.
The council is one of the leading members of information network of World heritage. Currently ICOMOS has 9500 members in 110 countries.
Professionals in the sphere of preservation of monuments participate in ICOMOS activity via national committees. National committees form a network of ICOMOS representative organizations created in countries – members of UNESCO.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
