Ildar Khalikov: energy efficiency is the survival factor for our enterprises

Increase of energy efficiency of production is the guarantee of competitiveness of Tatarstan enterprises in the context of forthcoming entry of Russia in World trade organization.
Such statement was made by Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov at an extended session of RT Cabinet "On course of implementing long-term target program "Energy saving and raising energy efficiency in RT for 2010-2015 years and perspective until year 2020".
The session was held at the exhibition centre “Kazanskaya Yarmarka” within the confines of XIII international exhibition "Energetics. Resource saving - 2011".
Before the session Ildar Khalikov took part in official opening of the exhibition. He welcomed all attendees of the event noting that the current exhibition differs from the previous ones since it is held before Russia’s entry in World trade organization.
By words of RT Premier the exhibition has aroused great interest. 32 Russian regions, 9 foreign countries are presented here, more than 160 participants. “The most important thing is that more projects and programs which bring real daily results are introduced at the exhibition”, Head of Tatarstan Government said.
Director-general of Russian energy agency Timur Ivanov welcomed attendees of the event. He reminded increase of energy efficiency is a priority task in the process of economic modernization for all Russian regions. According to T.Ivanov realization of the state program aimed at increase of energy efficiency has started in 2011 in full.
Timur Ivanov highlighted the importance of current exhibition.
Honorable guests reviewed the exposition and got acquainted with presented projects of Tatarstan and Russian enterprises.
Opening the RT Cabinet session Ildar Khalikov stressed energy efficiency is the survival factor for Tatarstan enterprises before Russia’s entry in WTO.
According to PM of Republic many Tatarstan enterprises have lately been working to increase energy efficiency, thus energy consumption of RT gross regional product was decreased by 40 % for 10 years. By the way we have to focus on the best world parameters, Ildar Khalikov believes.
By words of Ildar Khalikov several projects presented at the exhibition enable getting solid economic effect from implementing energy efficient technologies within 2-3 years. In particular, PM recommended studying Kazan experience in the sphere of energy saving in housing and municipal sectors.
Summing up, Ildar Khalikov noted active work of republican enterprises throughout the year. Though, situation in municipalities leaves much to be desired, he said. In his opinion energy saving should also become a necessity for municipalities. Thus, Ildar Khalikov addressed municipalities with request to introduce their offers and make a common republican bid for participation in the program on increasing energy efficiency in 2012.
Upon completion of the session Ildar Khalikov granted awards to winners of the contest for the best realization of energy-saving programs in 2011.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
