Rustam Minnikhanov told journalists by what results Tatarstan finishes year 2011 and shared out his dream

What results feature outgoing year 2011 for Tatarstan told RT President Rustam Minnikhanov during a traditional pre-New year meeting with journalists – representatives of federal and republican mass media.

The meeting took place at the RT House of Government.

First of all, Rustam Minnikhanov underlined that all the planned parameters for 2011 year have been fulfilled by the republic – this is a volume of gross regional product (GRP), implementation of programs of social mortgage, major repair of multi-apartment housing, development of agro-industrial complex, program «Belekech» in part of provision with places in kindergartens for children of 3 years and others и др.

In general, the economy of the republic is progressing steadily, RT President said.

By his words the most important events of outgoing year became such events like startup of industrial operation of TANECO project, completion of deal and signing all contracts on AMMONI project, realization of the joint project in the sphere of automotive industry «Ford - Sollers» in SEZ Alabuga.

Regarding the joint project «Ford – Sollers» Rustam Minnikhanov marked that «in the closest time we see the results of this project».

As to development SEZ Alabauga by today already 20 companies -residents have been registered there and by words of Rustam Minnikhanov the work is under way yet with more several companies ready to open their productions.

Already in January –February 2012 a new plant of Rockwool ( insulation materials) company is to be commissioned in SEZ Alabuga and the company already now plans to expand production.

Major enterprises JSC Tatneft, JSC Kazanorgsintez, JSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim are operating steadily. Good parameters before 2012 show enterprises which are working on the created by them within small and middle business platforms, - Kamsky industrial park «Master», technopolis «Khaimgrad», technoparl «Idea».

Answering the questions of journalists Rustam Minnikhanov informed that a specialized program is due to be accepted in the context of which its is assumed that during 5 years to get off cross subsidizing in energy sector. «this is a hard process, - he said. – And not only for us.

Speaking about staff reshuffles in the republic, RR Present stated that « the process will go on».

«Somebody is adequate to the tasks which we put before them, some just are not able to find common language with people, - Rustam Minnikhanov. – There was a case when head of some region grabbed money from land sale – such people will not work with us ».

During the meeting with mass media representatives RT President commented the situation with holding protest meeting in Kazan (against falsification of elections results to RF State Duma).

Opposition is everywhere, Rustam Minnikhanov said, the point is that opposition should be healthy one which is acting in the interests of the country, city. We live in open and democratic country but there are which are eager to take advantage of the situation.

People should have the possibility to express their opinion, Rustam Minnikhanov said but I am against non-sanctioned forms.

RT President was asked also about delegation of powers to the regions from federal center, on redistribution of incomes between federal center and federation subjects and what he thinks on possible slowing growth rates of the world economy in 2012.

It is very important for us that Europe could hold the situation, Rustam Minnikhanov said, since industry of Tatarstan is oriented for export, then if the world markets slump, we feel this.

Answering the questions on possible merge of the companies «Tatartsan » and «Ak Bars aero», Rustam Minnikhanov informed that in the closest time such a decision is to be taken up.

Speaking about the situation with transfer of controlling interest of Zelenodolsk shipyard after Gorky United ship-building corporation, Rustam Minnikhanov mentioned that this issue remains open. «We discussed this issue, - he précised . – but so far we do not have solution for more deep integration».

RT President informed the journalists that he is always on the road and making numerous business trips to the countries throughout the world, however, dreams of getting to Antarctica. «I dream of getting to Antarctica, - he said. – Travelling there –it is already an extreme. But so far, out of the all countries only New Zealand impressed me most of all».

In conclusion of the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated mass media people on approaching New Year. Modern society needs true and timely information, he said, and you, journalists are doing the necessary work.
