Rustam Minnikhanov discusses cooperation within preparation for Universiade-2013 in the context of educational projects with PricewaterhouseCoopers leadership

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has met with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) leadership. The meeting was held in the context of World economic forum in Davos (Switzerland).
According to Director of Department for external relations -Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov the parties discussed results of activity of PwC activity in Tatarstan Republic, including partnership within preparation for World summer universiade-2013, interaction in the sphere of attraction of foreign investments in republican economy and cooperation with Kazan (Volga) Federal University in promotion of educational projects (work of branch of the Institute of internal auditors opened in October 2011).
In the course of meeting Rustam Minnikhanov and PwC leadership debated expansion of cooperation in the sphere of training of specialists, development of economic strategy, etc.

PricewaterhouseCoopers has been working with Tatarstan enterprises since 1995. Currently the following companies use services of PwC- JSC TAIF, Tatenergo, Kazanorgsintez, Tatneft, KAMAZ, Tattelekom, Ak Bars bank, Nizhnekamskneftehim, holding company Ak Bars, and others. Kazan PwC office was opened in 2007. 120 employees worked in the company for the end of 2011.
In August 2011 PwC became a partner, official consulting company and service provider of summer Universiade-2013. Partnership activity is being implemented by the following sectors – “marketing”, “planning and coordination”, “finances”.
In the sphere of educational projects PwC opened the branch of nonprofit organization “Institute of internal auditors” on the basis of Kazan office in October 2011. It is aimed at promotion of internal audit culture in Tatarstan economic society, cooperation of internal auditors, employees and specialists in the sphere of internal control and risk management working at enterprises of Volga Federal District.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
