Ildar Khalikov: we are at the stage of active growth of ecological consciousness of Tatarstaners

A joint conference of Department of Federal service on supervision in the sphere of nature use on RT, Department on minerals use on RT, Tatarstan branch of federal budget institution «Territorial fund of geological information on the Volga federal district », Branch of federal budget institution «Federal center of analysis and assessment of anthropogenic impact» on RT by results of work in 2011 and tasks for 2012 was held in Kazan on January, 26. Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov attended the meeting.
After hearing reports of attendees PM noted according to dynamics and parameters of 2011 the main tasks set in the beginning of last year have been fulfilled. “No serious accidents or abnormal situations which could affect Tatarstan ecology happened last year. Great purposeful regular work was implemented”, Ildar Khalikov noted.
However, there are some problems citizens, enterprises and all people interested in ecological wellbeing of Tatarstan worry about, and the number of such people is increasing, PM said.
“We are at the stage of active growth of ecological consciousness of Tatarstaners. It concerns big towns and small settlements. Citizens are now addressing different agencies with appeals and worries more often. I think it is normal”, Tatarstan PM stated.
Ildar Khalikov noted there are a lot of industrial enterprises in Republic, developed oil and petrochemical industries. “Major construction is now underway in Republic. New plants, sport objects are currently under contraction. Thus, extent of responsibility of those engaged in ecological issues is increasing. By all means, construction of any plant should be implemented for the good of people”, Ildar Khalikov stated.
Tatarstan PM focused on the problem of unauthorized landfill of household wastes. By his words, heads of municipalities are able to solve the problem at the local level.
“There is no future if we do not pay attention to the modern state of environment and observe ecological standards. In fact appeals of population demonstrate qualitative state of environment. Republican citizens more often address with appeals about negative, selfish attitude towards nature on the part of enterprises. It means people worry about ecological problems”, Head of Department of Federal service on supervision in the sphere of nature use on RT Farit Khairutdinov stated.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.
